卡尔格兰特s are funded by 的 state of California to help students pay for college 费用. The awards do not have to be repaid.
There are three types of 卡尔格兰特s — A, B 和 C — but you don’t have to figure out 申请哪一个. Your eligibility will be based on your FAFSA or CADAA responses, your verified 卡尔格兰特 GPA, 的 type of California colleges you list on your FAFSA 和 whe的r you’re a recent high school graduate.
卡尔·格兰特 helps low 和 middle-income students with tuition costs at a four-year California college. Although this grant can only be used at a four-year college, students are encouraged
to apply while attending Butte College because awards can be held "on reserve" until

Students with Dependent Children
Governor 新闻om 和 的 California State Legislature approved new funding to increase
的 卡尔·格兰特奖 beginning in 的 2019-2020 academic year for students who have
dependent children that are under 18 years of age 和 whom 的y provide more than
half of 的ir financial support during 的 academic year.
The amounts listed are 的 maximum award amounts. Actual award amounts are determined
by enrollment 和 unmet financial need.

calgrant 社区 College Entitlement Award is for students attending a California 社区 College (CCC). 申请人必须提交

卡尔·格兰特B for Foster Youth program exp和s aid for students who are current 和 former foster youth to be eligible
for increased 卡尔格兰特 eligibility.
- Foster youth students may renew 的ir 卡尔·格兰特B awards for 的 equivalent of eight years of full-time attendance in an undergraduate program.
- Foster youth students have until 的ir 26th birthday to apply for 的 卡尔格兰特 High 学校津贴奖.
- Foster youth students attending a California 社区 College can apply for a High 学校津贴奖 through September 5th (ra的r than 3月4日).
All 卡尔格兰特 applicants must:

- be a California resident for 1 year
- attend a qualifying California college

- The 加州梦想法案 Application (CADAA) is a state form instead of a federal form. Like 的 FAFSA, it must be submitted by 3月4日 2024 - 2025年, directly to 的 state processor.
- If you miss 的 March 2nd 卡尔格兰特 deadline 和 you plan to attend a community college such as Butte College, you may have until September 2nd to apply.

Most public California high schools, community colleges, 和 universities will automatically
submit your 卡尔格兰特 GPA to us electronically. Because of this, most students don't
need to complete a paper GPA verification form.
Graduating high school seniors 和 college students with fewer than 16 college units earned: to qualify for a 卡尔格兰特, your high school must verify your GPA 和 submit
it to 的 California Student 援助 Commission (CSAC). Contact your high school counselor.

- If you have a GED, submit your 得分数 directly to 的 California Student 援助 Commission.
- If you graduated from a school that does not provide grades, is not accredited by 的 Western Association of Schools 和 Colleges (WASC) or ano的r regional accrediting agency, or does not have a course list approved by 的 University of California, you 必须提供 ACT, SAT或GED成绩.
- If you were home schooled or attended a charter school, you must submit an ACT, SAT或GED成绩.
- If you graduated from high school more than five years ago, you may provide a SAT或ACT成绩, or use a re-established GPA.
The 财政援助办事处 will automatically send your GPA to 的 California Student 援助 Commission (CSAC) if you have earned at least 16 units at Butte College.
Your GPA is calculated on all completed college work, excluding nontransferable units 和 courses not counted in computation for admission to a California public institution of higher education that grants a baccalaureate degree.
